Am 22. und 23. August 2026 findet in der Bremerhavener Szenemeile „Die Alte Bürger“ zum neunten Mal das Kunstfestival artspace bremerhaven statt. Werkstätten, Ateliers, Wohnungen und leerstehende Gewerbeflächen werden für ein Wochenende zu außergewöhnlichen Ausstellungsorten.
On August 22 and 23, 2026, the art festival artspace bremerhaven will take place for the ninth time in Bremerhaven’s vibrant cultural strip "Die Alte Bürger". For one weekend, workshops, studios, apartments, and vacant commercial spaces will be transformed into extraordinary exhibition venues.
Rund 30 ausgewählte Künstler*innen präsentieren Malerei, Skulptur, Installationen, Performance, Tanz und Theater. Aus über 350 Bewerbungen aus dem In- und Ausland entstand ein vielfältiges Programm, das aktuelle künstlerische Positionen zeigt und den direkten Austausch zwischen Kunstschaffenden und Publikum ermöglicht.
Around 30 selected artists will present painting, sculpture, installations, performance, dance, and theater. Selected from over 350 applications from Germany and abroad, the diverse program showcases contemporary artistic positions and enables direct exchange between artists and the audience.
Als Festival im öffentlichen Raum setzt artspace bremerhaven Impulse für die kulturelle Stadtentwicklung und zeigt, wie Kunst Quartiere beleben und neue Begegnungsorte schaffen kann.
As a festival in public space, artspace bremerhaven provides fresh momentum for cultural urban development and demonstrates how art can revitalize neighborhoods and create new meeting places.
Veranstaltet wird artspace bremerhaven vom Förderverein „Die Alte Bürger“ e. V. in Kooperation mit dem Kulturamt Bremerhaven und der afz-Quartiersmeisterei „Die Alte Bürger“. Dank zahlreicher Förderinnen und Förderer ist der Eintritt zu allen Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen kostenfrei.
