Ankunft:
Bitte komm als erstes zu uns in die Quartiersmeisterei in der "Alten Bürger" 190. Bitte informiere uns vorher unbedingt, an welchem Tag Du anreist und um welche Uhrzeit. Bei uns bekommst Du dann alle Infos zum Festival, zur Unterkunft und deinem Ausstellungsraum.
Du bekommst auch eine Mappe, in der wir alle Infos, dein Namensschild, etc. für Dich vorbereitet haben.
Arrival:
Please first come to us at the Quartiersmeisterei in the "Alten Bürger" 190. Please inform us beforehand on which day you are arriving and at what time. We will then give you all the information about the festival, the accommodation and your exhibition space.
You will also receive a folder in which we have prepared all the information, your name tag, etc. for you.

Neben dem festen Team, sind während des Wochenendes Guides im Einsatz, die für alle Fragen und Infos - vor allem auf der Straße - unterwegs sind.
Falls Du Fragen hast oder eine Auszeit an Deinem Ort brauchst, dann zögere nicht, unsere Guides anzusprechen. Sie helfen gerne.
In addition to the permanent team, there are guides on duty during the weekend. They are in action for all questions and information - especially on the road.

Bewerbung für artspace //
Application for artspace
Ablauf:
Jedes Jahr im Januar starten wir in das neue artspace bremerhaven Jahr. Dann schalten auf dieser Website einen Reiter zur Bewerbung frei, wo alle Infos enthalten sind und veröffentlichen die aktuelle Ausschreibung. Das Auswahlverfahren nimmt erfahrungsgemäß Zeit bis Ende Mai in Anspruch - ab Anfang Juni gibt es dann Zu-/Absagen.
Grundsätzlich kannst Du Dich aber jederzeit bei uns bewerben. Deine Bewerbung fließt dann in das nächste Auswahlverfahren ein.
Process:
Every year in January we start the new artspace bremerhaven year. We activate a tab for the application on this website, where all information is contained and publish the call for action. Experience has shown that the selection process takes time until the end of May - from the beginning of June there will be acceptances/rejections.
You can apply to us at any time. Your application will then flow into the next selection process.
Bremerhaven und Umzu //
Bremerhaven and all around
Bremerhaven liegt an Meer und hat einen großen Hafen. Von der "Alten Bürger bis zum Deich sind es ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß.
Lebensmittelgeschäfte sind ebenfalls fußläufig zu erreichen. In der "Alten Bürger" gibt es Restaurants, Bistros, Bars und Kneipen.
In deiner Festivalmappe findest Du einen Stadtplan mit vielen kleinen und großen Hinweisen und Tipps.
Use-It-City Map in Englisch
Bremerhaven is on the sea and has a large port. From the "Alten Bürger" to the dike it is about a 5-minute walk.
Grocery stores are also within walking distance. In the "Alte Bürger" there are restaurants, bistros, bars and pubs.
In your festival folder you will find a city map with many small and large hints and tips.
Die Kunst, Kunst zu verkaufen //
The art of selling art
artspace bremerhaven ist nicht im klassischen Sinne ein kommerzielles Kunstevent. Deshalb bitten wir Dich auch, Deine Kunst nicht explizit mit Preisen zu versehen.
Dennoch ergeben sich Nachfragen von Gästen, die daran interessiert sind, gesehene Kunstwerke zu kaufen.
Wir gratulieren Dir in diesem Fall herzlich zum Verkauf und bitten Dich, die Kunst bis Sonntag - 18h vor Ort zu lassen.
Außerdem freuen wir uns und finden es fair, wenn 20% des Kaufpreises als Spende beim Förderverein "Alte Bürger" e.V. landen, damit wir weiterhin solche Events ermöglichen können.
Da das natürlich eine freiwillige Leistung bleibt, vertrauen wir dabei auf Deine Ehre.
artspace bremerhaven is not a commercial art event in the traditional sense. That's why we ask you not to explicitly price your art.
Nevertheless, there are inquiries from guests who are interested in buying works of art they have seen.
In this case, we would like to congratulate you on the sale and ask you kindly to leave the art on site by Sunday - 6 p.m.
We are also happy and think it's fair if 20% of the purchase price ends up as a donation to the Förderverein "Alte Bürger" e.V. , so that we can continue to make such events possible.
Since this is of course a voluntary service, we trust in your honor.
Gäste //
Guests
Wir erwarten etwa zwischen 4000 Gäste an dem Wochenende. Einige davon sind schon lange begeisterte artspace-Gäste; andere sind zum ersten Mal dabei.
Die meisten Gäste freuen sich, wenn Du als Künstler:in an Deinem Kunstort anwesend bist und genießen Gespräche und Austausch.
Natürlich hast Du auch die Möglichkeit, alles andere anzuschauen und Pausen zu machen. Wir übernehmen dann gerne deinen Ort für eine Weile.
Falls Dir Gäste eine Frage zum Festival stellen, verweise sie gerne an uns oder unsere Guides.
We expect between about 4000 guests on the weekend. Some of them have been enthusiastic artspace guests for a long time; others are there for the first time.
Most guests are happy when you as an artist are present at your art venue to get in touch with conversations and exchange.
Of course you also have the opportunity to look at everything else and take breaks. We'll be happy to take over your location for a while.
If guests ask you a question about the festival, feel free to refer them to us or our guides.
Get together
Der Austausch und das Kennenlernen unter den Künstler:innen, Guides und dem Team soll natürlich auch nicht zu kurz kommen.
Deshalb laden wir Euch am Samstagabend nach Ende der offiziellen Festivalzeit (ab 21h) zu einem Get-Together ein. Alle Infos dazu findest Du in Deiner Festival-Mappe!
Of course, the exchange and getting to know each other among artists, guides and the team should not be neglected.
That's why we invite you to a get-together on Saturday evening at the end of the first festival day (from 9 p.m.). All information can be found in your festival folder!

Grundsätzlich bemühen wir uns, dass in den Vorbereitungstagen und während des Festivals die Quartiersmeisterei immer durch eine:n von uns besetzt ist.
Dort gibt es auch Kaffee, Kekse/Süßigkeiten und Toiletten.

After the festival
Feedback: Wir freuen uns, wenn Du dir nach dem Festival kurz Zeit nimmst, und uns ein kleines Feedback zukommen lässt.
Belege: Vertraglich sind Dir Maximalsumme in den Bereichen Material und Reise- und Transportkosten zugesichert. Wir können allerdings nur Summen abrechnen, über die Belege vorliegen. Deshalb schick uns nach dem Festival alle Belege, die diese beiden Punkte betreffen.
Spread the word: Erzähl allen Menschen von artspace bremerhaven und folge uns auf den socials. Vielleicht sehen wir uns ja im kommenden Jahr wieder!
Feedback: We'd be happy if you take a moment after the festival and send us some feedback.
Receipts: You are contractually guaranteed a maximum amount in the areas of material and travel and transport costs. However, we can only invoice costs for which receipts are available. Therefore, after the festival, send us all the documents that relate to these points.

artspace bremerhaven hat das Konzept ungewöhnliche Orte mit Kunst zu bespielen. Wir freuen uns, dass Du dich darauf einlässt, Deine Kunst in unseren Art Spaces zu zeigen!
In jedem Jahr schauen wir wieder, welche Projekte/Konzepte gewählt wurden und suchen dann den passenden Ort dazu aus. Dabei sind Räume in leerstehenden Wohnungen oder in Geschäften, Straßenbuchten, Treppenhäusern, Hinterhöfen, Kneipenräume, etc.
Viele Orte werden schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder genutzt, aber es gibt auch in jedem Jahr neue Orte zu entdecken.
Steckdosen, Licht, weiße Wände, Hängemöglichkeiten für Bilder oder Türen sind nicht (überall) vorhanden. Wir bemühen uns, vorher so viele Informationen und auch Fotos wie möglich über die Orte zu bekommen und an Dich weiter zu geben. Außerdem statten wir Deinen Ort mit allem aus, was Du benötigst. Damit Du beim Ankommen alles so vorfindest, wie vereinbart, informiere uns bitte unbedingt über die Notwendigkeiten, die an Deinem Ort für Dich vorbereitet werden sollen.
artspace bremerhaven has the concept to exhibit art in unusual places. We are pleased that you are willing to show your art in our Art Spaces!
Every year we check which projects/concepts have been chosen and then choose the right place for them. This includes rooms in vacant apartments or in shops, street bays, stairwells, backyards, pubs, etc.
There are places that have been used again for many years, but also new places every year.
Sockets, light, white walls, hanging options for pictures or doors are not available (everywhere). We try to get as much information and photos as possible about the places beforehand and pass them on to you. We also equip your place with everything you need. Please inform us about the necessities that should be prepared for you at your location, so that you find everything as agreed on when you arrive, .
Unterkunft //
Accommodation
Wir haben telefonisch vorher erfragt, wie Du untergebracht sein möchtest und haben daran orientiert eine Unterkunft für Dich organisiert.
Den Schlüssel, eine Wegbeschreibung und/oder weitere Infos dazu, bekommst Du, wenn Du ankommst.
Wir bemühen uns, dass alle Unterkünfte fußläufig zum Festivalgelände liegen, so dass Du gut hin- und zurück kommst.
Bitte informiere uns, wenn es Probleme mit oder in der Unterkunft gibt.
We asked in advance by phone how you would like to be accommodated. Based on this we have organized an accommodation for you.
You will receive the key, directions and/or further information when you arrive.
We try to ensure that all accommodations are within walking distance to the festival site so that you can get there and back easily.

Wie komm ich durch die Stadt? //
How to get around?
Busse:
Verschiedene Busse bringen Dich durch die Stadt. Hier gibt alle Hinweise von Bremerhaven Bus. Ein Ticket kostet 2,50€.
Mit dem Deutschlandticket (49€) darfst Du auch alle Busse nutzen.
E-Roller:
Überall in Bremerhaven findest Du auch grüne E-Roller der Firma TIER.
Laufen:
Bremerhaven ist lang und schmal - das bedeutet aber, dass Du gut alle relevanten Orte für das artspace bremerhaven Wochenende zu Fuß erreichst.
Buses:
Various buses will take you through the city. Here are all the tips from Bremerhaven Bus. A ticket costs €2.50.
With the Deutschlandticket (49€) you can also use all buses.

Everywhere in Bremerhaven you will find green e-scooters from TIER.
Walking:

Die Alte Bürger ist während des Festivals gesperrt. In der Straße kann nicht geparkt werden. In den umliegenden Straßen stehen – zum Teil kostenpflichtige – Parkplätze zur Verfügung.
Wir bemühen uns, dass Deine Unterkunft fußläufig zur Festivallocation ist, so dass dein Auto an der Unterkunft stehen bleiben kann.
Anlieferung:
In den Tagen vor/nach artspace bremerhaven ist die Straße noch nicht gesperrt. Wir helfen Dir gerne, für das Ausladen/Einladen deiner Ausstellungsstücke, möglichst nah an Deinem Kunstort halten zu können.

Parking:
Die "Alte Bürger" is closed during the festival. It is not possible to park in the street. There are parking spaces available in the surrounding streets, some of which are subject to a fee.
We make every effort to ensure that your accommodation is within walking distance of the festival location, so that your car can stay parked at the accommodation.
Delivery:
During the days before/after artspace bremerhaven, the road is not yet closed. We are happy to help you to be able to stop as close as possible to your art location for loading/unloading your exhibits.
